Wheelchair Hire Across Cornwall

Simple, reliable wheelchair hire, delivered and ready to use — whether you’re at home or visiting Cornwall.

I offer both transit and self-propelled manual wheelchairs that are lightweight, easy to use, and simple to fold for transport in the boot of a car.

There are two main types available:

Self-propelled wheelchairs have larger rear wheels with hand rims, allowing the person in the chair to move themselves. They also have handles, so someone can assist from behind if needed.

Transit wheelchairs have smaller rear wheels and are designed to be pushed by someone else, with the person in the chair being supported throughout.

Both types are available in a range of seat widths, typically from 14" to 20", with 17" being the most common.

When choosing the right size, the measurement should be taken across the widest part of the hips or lap in a straight line. It doesn’t need to be exact — a little extra space is often more comfortable, especially if cushions or coats are being used.

If the wheelchair won’t be used all day, getting the size perfect isn’t critical. The main thing is choosing a chair that isn’t too tight or too wide, so it’s comfortable and easy to use.

Salsa M2 Powerchair

The Salsa M2 powerchair is a comfortable, easy-to-use electric wheelchair designed for both indoor and outdoor use.

It offers smooth, stable movement and is ideal for getting around the home, as well as heading out and about while you’re in Cornwall. The controls are simple and responsive, making it easy to drive even if you’ve never used a powered chair before.

The chair is supportive and adjustable, helping you stay comfortable whether you’re using it for short periods or longer days out.

This is a great option if walking longer distances is difficult, or if you want a bit more independence and confidence getting around.

As with all equipment, I’ll deliver it to you, make sure everything is set up properly, and show you how it works so you feel comfortable using it.

These are a great option if you need a bit of extra support when walking, whether that’s around the home or when getting out and about during your time in Cornwall.

4-wheeled walkers are ideal for longer distances, offering stability along with a seat so you can stop and rest when needed. Zimmer frames are a simpler option, providing steady support indoors or for shorter distances.

Both options are lightweight, easy to use, and suitable for short-term or longer hire.

As with all equipment, I’ll deliver everything to you and make sure it’s ready to use, so you don’t have to worry about setup.
